SatNews Extra adds an advertising module to the successful standard news service, thereby creating a revenue-generating service - or an efficient channel to communicate with guests.
Suppliers and partners are able to book adverts in the 8-page SatNews issues. TEAMtalk can assist in booking and setting up the adverts and can offer to e-mail a copy of the newspaper direct to the advertiser.
Cruise liners can increase onboard sales of goods and services as a direct result of the advertising in SatNews Extra and can utilise some of the space for marketing onboard activities or excursions or to highlight special promotions or events.
For many cruise lines, the Internet café is a popular revenue-generating passenger service, providing access to the Internet and personal e-mail accounts for guests.
The system is proven to generate revenue - the cruise line can set its own charging rates and choose from various billing models. Additionally, it provides a marketing tool with promotional and advertising opportunities for shipboard activities and related interests, e.g. future cruises, voyage itinerary, etc.
It is a robust sytem with very low levels of support required, it is easy to install and integrates with the existing onboard communications system.
TEAMtalk Wi-Fi solutions can be installed in selected public areas where passengers can use their own laptops to gain access to the Internet and IP access to their own networks.
A selection of payment/billing solutions makes it easy for passengers to get access to the Wi-Fi system. Access may be charged to the passengers cabins or passwords can be issued for `limited time access to the system. Prepaid cards and credit cards can also be used.
